Actichem MethSan Part A
Select Section
Overview
Actichem MethSan A is a professional methamphetamine decontamination chemical formulated for the main wash stage of illicit drug contamination remediation. Product code DR610 uses a potentiated hydrogen peroxide blend to provide targeted oxidation of chemical residues deposited across a range of building surfaces and materials.
The formula combines enhanced oxidising activity with super-wetting agents that improve penetration into porous substrates. This helps professional remediation technicians treat contamination that may have absorbed into building materials rather than remaining only on the surface. MethSan A also provides complementary antimicrobial action against bacteria, viruses and mould.
Key Benefits
- Potentiated hydrogen peroxide chemistry improves oxidation of methamphetamine-related chemical residues.
- Super-wetting agents assist penetration into porous and absorbent surfaces.
- Supports the physical removal and deactivation of contamination during the main wash process.
- Complementary antimicrobial action assists with bacteria, viruses and mould.
- Can be configured for ULV cold or wet fogging and foam application.
- Extended four-hour wet contact procedure supports thorough on-site treatment.
- Available in 5 L and 20 L pack sizes for different project requirements.
Applications and Use Cases
MethSan A is designed for trained remediation contractors undertaking:
- Methamphetamine-contaminated property remediation
- Illicit drug laboratory clean-ups
- Residential rental property decontamination
- Commercial building remediation
- Treatment of porous and non-porous building surfaces
- Post-prewash main treatment procedures
- Fogging applications in complex or difficult-to-access areas
- Foam application to vertical, porous or detailed surfaces
- Remediation environments where mould or microbial contamination is also present
Features
MethSan A forms Part A of the Actichem MethSan treatment system. It must be used with either MethSan B Fog Boost or MethSan B Foam Boost and must not be combined with unrelated chemicals.
When paired with Fog Boost, the prepared solution is suitable for application using compatible ULV cold or wet fogging equipment. When paired with Foam Boost, it can be applied using professional foam-generating equipment, helping increase dwell and surface contact on vertical or porous materials.
For heavy-duty remediation, Actichem recommends prewashing the contaminated area with MethSan PreWash before applying the MethSan A and B treatment mixture. The treated surface must remain wet for four hours, with reapplication and agitation performed where required, followed by rinsing with clean water.
Why Choose This Product?
MethSan A is suited to professional contractors who require a purpose-developed chemical system rather than a general-purpose cleaner or standard hydrogen peroxide product. Its potentiated oxidising action, enhanced wetting performance and compatible fogging or foaming options make it suitable for methodical methamphetamine remediation across varied building materials.
The two-part system allows technicians to select the application method that best matches the surface, access conditions and approved remediation protocol. Only trained operators should use this product, with appropriate PPE, respiratory protection and substrate testing completed before application.
