Surface Preparation:
- Surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and sound before application
- Recommended pre cleaning with appropriate RECON cleaners and odour treatments
- Odour encapsulation is the final stage after cleaning and neutralisation
Application Method:
- Apply using brush or airless spray equipment only
- Spray settings: 2200 to 3000 PSI
- Spray tip range: 0.017 to 0.023
- Brush type: synthetic, nylon or polyester bristle
- Roller application not recommended
- Apply one uniform coat, two coats may be required on porous or heavily stained surfaces
Coverage:
- Smooth surfaces: 200 to 400 square feet per gallon
- Porous surfaces: 100 to 200 square feet per gallon
Drying Times:
- Touch dry: 30 minutes at 70°F and 50 percent RH
- Recoat time: 4 hours at 70°F and 50 percent RH
- Topcoat allowed after minimum 24 hours drying
Topcoating Requirements:
- Light sanding and cleaning required before topcoat
- Use 100 percent acrylic latex coating with eggshell sheen or higher
- Do not use alkyd, enamel or oil based coatings
- Test patch recommended to prevent coating failure
Safety and Handling:
- Store between 10°C and 32°C
- Do not apply below 50°F or on surfaces above 15 percent moisture content
- Ensure adequate ventilation during application
- Use NIOSH approved respirator when spraying
- Do not mix with other coatings or solvents
- Clean tools with warm soapy water before drying
